The reason of the Apple' decisions to make FTP protocol access to remote servers just read-only through Finder (for Mac OS X), orients the access to remote servers using the samba protocol (of kind smb://). File (iOS devices) doesn't allows any ftp connection.

As any other else app interacting with remote servers accessible through Finder or File, through the samba protocol, we noticed a performance quite embarrassing.

We experienced, anyway, excellent performances in terms of speed of connection with iCloud located Working Folders and obviously with local ones.
